I’ve been blogging for a long time and have taken many courses about how to monetize blogging. But I knew once I decided to change my focus to sex I needed advice from people who are actually doing it. I’m so glad I decided to take this course! I loved the content and the assignments. My life is hectic and I needed to get through the courses on my own. Epiphora and JoEllen provided great feedback and helped me think of things I hadn’t considered. The course is organized, easy to follow, and I would recommend it to newbies and seasoned bloggers who want to take it to the next level.

As an incredibly busy individual, I found the independent study class to fit my needs perfectly. I signed up for the full class, and I am so happy I did! Every lesson was packed full of information. When Epiphora and JoEllen Notte wanted to clarify a point, they simply linked to a brilliant example so that I could quickly and easily understand their message. I also really appreciated seeing so many great examples of what to do (and a few examples of what not to do, too!)

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of tips and suggestions that Epiphora and JoEllen offered just on blog care and maintenance. The plugins suggested have saved me so much time just in research alone. I also noticed an improvement in my workflow organization.

I recommend the independent study class to anybody who is interested in learning about blogging about sex as a business, prefers to study on an independent schedule, and enjoys reading. Oh, and the instructors? They are awesome!

This course will save you so much time! I wasn’t totally new to blogging when I signed up, but I wanted to take my blog from personal to professional. The material is, of course, very focused and thorough— sure, you could learn bits and pieces of it by Googling, but the Business of Sex Blogging course puts it all in one place. I enjoyed taking my time to read sections that stood out to me at any given time, out of the suggested order, and to look back whenever I had questions.

You get to read about SOOOO, so many bloggers’ experiences, get in their heads, and see examples of different ways successful bloggers think. It thoroughly showcases how unique bloggers are from each other and, of course, how you can also make yourself stand out.

There’s also a very personable and chill element to the class. While Epiphora and JoEllen don’t sugar-coat the challenges of blogging, they do remind you that they, too, had to start somewhere, they persevered, and so can you.

The independent study course is a good option for you if: a.) you like to skim first and re-read in layers, or b.) have a very busy lifestyle and want the freedom to read and execute leisurely.

I’m definitely a newbie to the blogging world. I started this course with the intention of bringing things I learn from teaching live workshops to a blogging medium. Since–like the rest of us–I am very busy, I found the independent study to be the best option for my schedule. The amount of content and thorough attention to detail in the lessons was both extremely helpful and a bit overwhelming, as I did not realize all the variables that contribute to a successful blog! I am thankful for the transparency that the instructors showed throughout the course, illustrating how they got started, learned from their mistakes, and persevered. I am also excited by how much writing inspiration I’ve gained–I have so many things I can’t wait to blog about!

I began the Independent Study as I prepared to launch my blog, and it’s honestly one of the smartest decisions I’ve ever made. I couldn’t begin to calculate how much time, money, and energy Epiphora and JoEllen have saved me. They’ll help you develop both the style and substance of your blog (and related businesses), and avoid many of the common pitfalls that plague this process.

I was determined to start a blog, but I had no earthly idea where to begin. In addition to the abundance of technical and logistical support, I also felt so much encouragement in each lesson. Every step of the way, there’s a strong undercurrent of “you can do it!” weaved in. I really needed that!

The independent study was best for me as I navigated several big life changes at once, including an interstate move. I could learn at my own pace, ensuring I could wring out every bit of information I needed from the material.

My blog got off to a really solid start, and I couldn’t have done it without Epiphora, JoEllen, and all the other fantastic bloggers and educators featured in the program. Thank you so much for making this daunting process feel doable!

Although I have blogged off and on for a while I know there is so much I don’t know, especially about the business aspects of sex blogging. This was a very helpful and informative course that I would recommend to anyone who is curious about starting a sex blog. I really appreciate all of the different voices and perspectives they give outside of just the two main instructors, and the way they offer examples, photos and videos throughout. I wish I knew about this course sooner!!

My blog had already been up for months when I started the BASB class– I wish I’d taken the course before launching my blog, but I still got tons of useful info from it. Many things I learned from the class went into effect immediately, whereas others are things I’ve digested and plan to integrate in the future. It helped me consider my style, tone, what I want to get from my blog, and what I want others to get from it. The instructors are great. When I had questions or issues, Epiphora answered my emails promptly and thoroughly. In addition to the in-depth advice from Epiphora and JoEllen, the course is also full of advice from tons of sex blogging superstars!

Whilst there’s a fair bit I’m already aware of, there’s a LOT of highly useful information in this course! The information is practical and easy to digest. The course is especially good at reinforcing topics you might have experience with but don’t fully understand, and pointing out the overlooked tips and tricks that might seem simple but make a big impact. Even if you’ve been blogging for a few years it’s a great resource and definitely worth investing in the course!
